A bunch of random [extremely irritating] American college students [all of whom are faaaaaaaar too old to be playing college students) go on a biology field trip - hosted by Vincent King and Mary Shelley on their private island - to improve their grades. But the students are hunted down and murdered in various gory horror movie styles, all filmed from the shadows by Vincent and Mary. The students must fight to survive or face death in the ultimate documentary-horror movie.
With mucho horror film name-dropping, this film was clearly made by a fan of the genre. A fan that's all too aware of certain horror conventions/cliches and willing to try and fit them all into one movie. It's yet another case of 'been there, seen that'. Sometimes I wonder why I watch so much of this nonsense - I've seen this film a dozen times in various guises. Then I remember that I do it all for you and everything's all right again... All this film is really good for is seeing Danica McKellar (Winnie from "The Wonder Years") looking pretty much exactly the same as she did in the wonder years 16 years ago! I reckon she sleeps in a Tupperware box or something ("Eerie, Indiana", anyone???). But this film's just kinda dull - and boasts one of the worst Scottish accents I've heard in a good long time!!
