Mr Halloween (2007)
A small town has a legend that the local Hallowe’en nut uses real body parts in his annual attraction. The locals take this with a pinch of salt – until teens in the town start disappearing. A group of them start investigating what happened to their friends, and uncover grisly truths.
This movie is freaking shocking – and not in a good way! The acting is atrociously wooden, the camera work is woeful to say the least, the effects are so bad it hurts, and the whole concept is pretty clichéd. In fact the whole film is swimming with every overused horror concept right up to its neck – drowning would be more appropriate here. It looks like a bunch of mates decided horror-making would be simple and just did it one weekend as a laugh. I wish it had been funny to be honest, better than being just crap. John Carpenter’s shits are probably more talented than the entire team on this movie. Don’t even bother.
