The Brigand of Kandahar (1965)
In British-occupied Afghanistan, a lieutenant of mixed race is discharged from the British Army on a trumped-up charge of cowardice. He instead joins a rebel crew of Bengali tribesmen led by Eli Kahn (a slightly wild, and weirdly orange, Oliver Reed) to fight against the British.
This is another romptastic Hammer film that my Dad would have deeply approved of. Again, not a horror but good for watching on a Sunday afternoon. There's some pretty decent battle scenes with swords aplenty. And the British are complete shits so that's always amusing! Some of the acting is a little stilted and straight-faced - especially from Katherine Woodville who lives up to her surname with her plank-like countenance - and on the other end of the spectrum, Oliver Reed comes across a bit over the top, almost like a character from the Mighty Boosh. Generally tho, it's all good fun in a stiff-upper-lipped kind of manner.
