The Gravedancers

After the funeral of an old college friend, Harris, Kira and Sid spend some time in the graveyard with their old friend and a few bottles of champagne. When a drunken Sid finds an unopened card with a poem inside, he recites it as he and his friends dance on some graves. It turns out that this isn't the best idea ever as the three are haunted by three different ghosts, each with a penchant for revenge.

I have to admit that I acquired this film thinking it'd be pretty awful but it's actually quite interesting. The plot is decent, the acting is pretty good - special kudos goes to psychic investigator Frances Culpepper [played by Megahn Perry] who gives an impressive performance. Of course at the other end of the scale we have the character of Harris McKay played by Prison Break's Dominic Purcell who gives an excellent impression of a tree throughout the movie.

It was never going to be an Oscar winner but as shitty horrors go, it's a good watch. Maybe a little slow-paced in places but there's enough in there to hold your interest and the last half hour in particular is really worthwhile, tho one sequence does look like a cheesy ride at a theme park. The ghosts are pretty nasty when you have the opportunity to see them but can look a little Hallowe'en mask-esque in places. It's all good fun though.

And as dull as Harris' wife is throughout the film, your opinion of her will jump skywards when you see her mean right hook...
