Emmet is killing off the teens and is in league with� Mandy herself! They've planned this for a while and have a suicide pact (along with a journal containing the reasons behind the spree) for after the killings. But Mandy refuses to take the pills and instead intends to pin it on Emmet. Garth, the ranch hand, shoots Emmet, then Emmet chases Mandy who fights him off and kills him. She gets an injured Garth into the car (who thinks she's saved the day) and they drive off.
