The creature inhabits the crazy monk guy and resurrects all the dead people as white-eyed zombies. They chase Saxton and the Countess back to the caboose and the passengers in the caboose manage to separate themselves from the rest of the train just as the operators derail it. The monk and all the zombies burn up as the train goes crashing over a cliff.
