Dr Le Sangel isn't dead - he's the decrepit old guy helping with the chicken lectures. He was also shagging Pete's mum and when he orders Pete (under the influence of the crazy experiments) to kill his father, he kills Dr Le Sangel. Cut to Pete's father marrying his main squeeze.
