I came across this film a long time ago when I was going through a really bad insomniac phase. I happened to be channel surfing in the days I only had four channels (remember that kids?) and was quite chuffed to come across a film at the start in the middle of the night. Then I watched it. And then I realised what the phrase "fucked up" actually means!
A social worker who recently lost her husband is assigned to the Wadsworth family who seem normal except that their son is a 21 year old with the mind of a 21 month old complete with bottles, nappies and playpen! And that's the size of it - it's really an oddity! Psychedelic dance sequences and cow tasers included. And then there's the end - nothing will prepare you for it. It's not expected. Don't even bother to try and guess because it's not worth the time. But it's worth it. Oh yes...
